Greenwood is ready to step up and fill the vacuum
left by Edinson Cavani's likely departure
from Manchester United.
Ragnick expected to allow Cavani, 34, to
leave the club to promote Greenwood's
development, according to the ex-Arsenal
and Everton striker, who spoke exclusively
to Football Insider.
Barcelona and the Uruguayan international
have reached a 'deal in principle,' according
to Spanish publication SPORT (20 December).
Manchester United, on the other hand,
is said to have yet to approve the deal.
Following the summer's blockbuster signing
of Cristiano Ronaldo, Cavani has dropped
down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
His deal with the Red Devils is set to
expire at the end of June.
"I think Cavani's age is potentially going
against him," Campbell stated when asked
about Cavani's future by Football Insider.
"Do they really need Cavani now that
Ronaldo is the big man?"
