Breaking news: Manchester United finally gives pogba hope as the over him 500k weekly deal ,here is what the board said .
Manchester United have offered
to make Paul Pogba the highest paid
player in Premier League history in a
bid to keep him at the club.
The France international is one of a
number of United players whose contract
is up in the summer and, as reported
by Sportsmail, he has so far shown little
desire to extend his Old Trafford stay.
Pogba has been linked with a number
of Europe's biggest clubs, including
former club Juventus and a move
back to France with Paris Saint-
Germain. Real Madrid have also been
heavily linked.
However, according to The Sun, United
are preparing a gigantic offer in order
to persuade him to stay on at the
Theatre of Dreams.
They report that the club are willing
to offer him £400,000-a-week basic
salary, with add ons likely to take him
to the half-a-million mark. It is thought
to be £100,000 more than any offer
he is likely to receive on the continent.
Pogba is currently allowed to talk to other
clubs outside of England on signing
a pre-contract, with the 28-year-old's
current deal havnig less than six months
to run.
He has yest to play under interim
head coach Ralf Rangnick, having
been ruled out with a hamstring injury
he picked up on international duty
in October.
Pogba is not the only United player
looking at his options this month, with
no fewer than seventeen members
of Rangnick's first-team squad reportedly
unhappy.
As Sportsmail reported on Thursday
night, morale is low with up to half
the squad wanting to leave, the dressing
room divided into cliques, and below-par
performances on the pitch leaving
United seventh in the Premier League.
Rangnick is believed to have identified a
selfish element among the United
dressing room who are reluctant to pull
together for the team — a problem
first detected by Mourinho.
While the club would be happy to
offload certain players, their high salaries
are a stumbling block for any transfer
or loan deals.
