Breaking news: Ralf Ragnick reveals what legend told him about his Manchester United future after late night phone call ,as he gives final decision about his future.
Manchester United's out-of-favour midfielder
Jesse Lingard is ready to finally seal
an exit from the club this month after failing
to start a Premier League game this
season, according to reports.
Lingard was so impressive on loan
at West Ham United last season with
some searing form that nearly rewarded
him with a place in the England squad,
but he returned to Old Trafford looking
for a second chance that has not come.
Now the Mirror report that Lingard finally
wants out after more than two decades
with his boyhood club as he looks to seal
regular first team football, with the London
Stadium a possible destination.
Sportsmail reported this week how
United are facing a dressing room unrest
of 17 players who are currently unhappy
at Old Trafford, including Cavani
, Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek
amid a difficult season for the Red Devils.
Lingard is understood to be among this
crap of dissatisfied stars, having not
featured for the club since a 1-1 draw
against Young Boys on December 8
- just the third time he has played a game
under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
His contract will expire in the summer
and become a free agent - meaning
West Ham could snap him up on a cut
price deal with United keen not to lose
him for nothing after starting his career
with the club.
West Ham and boss David Moyes are
determined to secure a permanent deal
for Lingard, the report adds, having failed
to snatch him up last summer.
He has played 12 times in all competitions
this season, with eight sub appearances
in the league and two starts in cup
games - netting twice overall.
Last season with the Hammers, he
played 16 times, scoring nine goals,
and will be desperate to return to that
top level form.
