Official: Manchester United board after west ham game suggest new captain who will take Manchester to next level , congrats to him on his new chapter .

Ralf Rangnick, the interim Manchester

United manager, is clearly an admirer

of midfielder Scott McTominay, based

on his recent compliments.

The German strategist, who took over

from former manager Ole Gunnar

Solksjaer  last year, was present when

his Red Devils defeated Aston Villa 1-0

on Monday evening to advance to the FA

Cup Fourth Round.

Despite not giving it their all and enabling

Steven Gerrard's Villians to have the

majority of possession, the Red Devils came

out on top after holding on to an early lead.

McTominay and Fred, a defensive midfield

combo, teamed brilliantly inside the first

10 minutes of the game during a phase

of play that saw the Scotsman head home

the game's decisive goal.
