Breaking news: As Paul Pogba makes shocking U turn to his Manchester United contracts , as he wants to join this premier league club, he mentions in details .
Paul Pogba is reportedly open to
offers for a move to another Premier
League side this summer if he elects
to leave Manchester United.
The midfielder joined United for a then
world record fee of £89million in 2016
but his contract at Old Trafford will
expire at the end of the season following
a mixed spell where he has often
struggled to perform at his best.
Although he is free to negotiate
now with any of the big European
clubs outside of the Premier League
, the 28-year-old is more focused
on having a strong end to the season
with United following a return from injury.
According to the Telegraph, he wants
to stay away from talks over his future
until the end of the campaign and that
includes the potential option of a
move to one of United's rivals in England.
Despite commanding no transfer fee,
many clubs in England are still unlikely
to be able to afford the French World
Cup winner's wages which could top
around £200,000 per week.
Manchester City could show some
interest in taking on Pogba in a sensational
cross-city switch to the Etihad Stadium,
with Pep Guardiola once claiming
he had been offered to the chance
to sign the midfielder by Pogba's agent
Mino Raiola in 2018 when the player
was at loggerheads with then United
boss Jose Mourinho.
Back in January 2018 he said: 'Two
months ago he offered me (Henrikh)
Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with
us. He was interested in Mkhitaryan
and Pogba to play with us. Pogba
is an incredible player. A top, top player.'
While staying at United remains a
possibility too, European clubs are
still expected to come in with offers,
with Paris Saint-Germain leading the
charge from abroad.
Despite his popularity in his homeland,
Pogba has never played a senior
domestic club game in France since
leaving Le Havre for United's
academy in 2009.
And while securing Pogba the player
is of huge attraction to PSG, there
is also a feeling that bringing the
28-year-old back to France would
be of major benefit commercially, too.
Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid
are also monitoring Pogba's situation
and are likely to make pre-contract offers.
But Pogba wants to thoroughly assess
all the options, including a potential
new deal at United, before deciding
his future.
Since returning from a hamstring month
, Pogba has started to find form under
Ralf Rangnick despite United's recent
wobbly form, having discovered an
effective playing relationship in midfield
along with Bruno Fernandes.
