For the first time since Mason Greenwood
was suspended by Manchester United,
interim manager Ralf Rangnick has spoken out.
Greenwood was detained on suspicion
of rape and sexual assault on Sunday,
January 30, before being arrested again
on suspicion of sexual assault and threats
to kill. On Wednesday, February 2, he
was released on bail.
Rangnick suggested that players had been
talking about the incident when asked
how the incident had affected his team.
"We had a solid usual week of training
with five sessions, including today's,"
the German stated.
"Of course, it was a discussion among
the team, but they're human people,
and Mason was a member of the group
before we took a break."
It was an excellent training week.
