 On Wednesday, Manchester United will play

 Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions

 League round of 16 contest at Wanda Metropolitano. 




The Red Devils are coming off back-to-

back Premier League victories, but their

 defensive displays have been less than

 impressive. 


The same could be said of Atletico 

Madrid this season. United will be hoping

 for a 1-0 lead in the opening leg before 

the rematch at Old Trafford in three weeks.

outstanding in goal for Manchester United 

this season. He has put in several outstanding

 performances and has recently stated that 

he would prefer to play for the club for

 the rest of his career. 



The Spanish international should have

  Man Utd have announced on their official   website that Ralf Rangnick will hold his first  press conference as Manchester United  interim manager on Friday morning. They stated: It was announced on Monday that the highly  respected German will take charge of the Reds  until the end of this season, before continuing  in a consultancy role for a further two years. The process of applying for a work permit  meant that Rangnick could not manage United  in tonight’s fixture against Arsenal at Old  Trafford, where Michael Carrick will continue  his role as interim.  We are delighted to confirm that Ralf’s  permit has now been approved and he  will be officially unveiled in front of the media  on Friday morning. Ralf will presumably look forward to his first  match in charge of United, against Crystal  Palace in the Premier League at 14:00 GMT  on Sunday.
