Confirmed : Manchester United board after reveals New Club captain , after Harry maguire is stripped of it , will he be different from maguire ?

 

Manchester United dropped two 

points against bottom placed Burnley 

on Tuesday, with the disappointing 1-1 

draw allowing West Ham to leapfrog them

 into fourth spot.

While it was a poor display all round 

from the Red Devils, it is captain Harry 

Maguire who has received the majority 

of criticism online, as he was to blame 

for several key incidents that went 

against his side.

Early on in the game, Raphael Varane 

looked to have put United ahead, only

 for the goal to be ruled out by VAR as 

Maguire was standing in offside position

 while blocking off Jay Rodriguez.

Then, Burnley's new signing Wout 

Weghorst turned Maguire before assisting

 Rodriguez who also beat the United

 captain before making it 1-1.

Maguire missed a good chance from 

a corner, and was also lucky not 

to see red for a cynical tackle on 

Rodriguez later in the game.

It is not the first time that Maguire 

has been scrutinised for a poor display

 in a United shirt, and it appears as 

though his role as captain will be put

 under further question in the summer.
