, praised Raphael Varane before of tonight's 

Premier League match against Burnley. 

The Frenchman had been a long-term target

 for United, and he finally moved from 

Real Madrid to Old Trafford last summer. 

Varane has had a hit-or-miss season due 

to injuries, but Rangnick believes the 

centre-back is finally coming back to his 

best form. 

Varane has recovered from his injury problems

, according to Rangnick, who also stressed

 that he played exceptionally well before being

 substituted against Middlesbrough last week. 

The German coach went on to say that 

it was arguably his best performance, and 

that he hopes the defense can repeat it 

in the next games.
