  Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar  Solskjaer has returned following his  departure from the club last year. The Norwegian was dismissed following  United's 4-1 defeat to Watford in November and posed for a picture alongside  women's U21 star Maria Edwards last night. Solskjaer's daughter, Karna, was among the scorers yesterday evening, as  the 48-year-old watched United run  out 5-0 winners over Aston Villa.   It was a short but very sweet tenure for Michael Carrick at Manchester United . Three games, two wins, including victories over Arsenal and Villarreal, and a draw away to Chelsea. Not bad going at all. It doesn’t take long for a buzz to be  created in football, especially where a  manager is concerned. It’s a common  occurrence for an unknown caretaker  to come in for a couple of games, pick  up a few wins, and next thing you know  he’s in the dugout at the Bernabeu. Breaking news : Manchester United opens contract talks with super key player , as the are begging with fresh talks to stay .

 The Italian journalist reported on his Here  We Go podcast that both parties want to  start talking about a possible contract extension.  This comes only days after the Spanish  goalkeeper was interviewed by UEFA,  in which he expressed his wish to continue  playing at the Theatre of Dreams.  The 31-year-current old's contract with  the Red Devils will expire at the end of the  season, but it is believed that the Spaniard  has the option to prolong his stay for another year.  "I suppose it'll take some time to sign  a new contract, to agree on a new contract,"  Romano added. Man United, on the other  hand, wants to talk to De Gea this week.
